HUAC
The House Committee on Un-American Activities investigated alleged disloyalty and subversive activities on the part of private citizens, public employees, and those organizations suspected of having communist ties. It investigated suspected threats of subversion or propaganda that attacked "the form of government guaranteed by our Constitution."
Under this mandate, the committee focused its investigations on real and suspected communists in positions of actual or supposed influence in the United States society. A significant step for HUAC was its investigation of the charges of espionage brought against Alger Hiss in 1948. This investigation ultimately resulted in Hiss's trial and conviction for perjury, and convinced many of the usefulness of congressional committees for uncovering communist subversion.
Hollywood Blacklist
In 1947, the committee held hearings into alleged communist propaganda and influence in the Hollywood motion picture industry. After conviction on contempt of Congress charges for refusal to answer some questions posed by committee members, "The Hollywood Ten" were blacklisted by the industry. Eventually, more than 300 artists—including directors, radio commentators, actors and particularly screenwriters—were boycotted by the studios. Some, like Charlie Chaplin, Orson Welles, Paul Robeson and Yip Harburg, left the U.S or went underground to find work. Others wrote under pseudonyms or the names of colleagues. Only about ten percent succeeded in rebuilding careers within the entertainment industry.
Today, the Wight Wing media, aided by Russian hackers and funded by the oligarchs have used propaganda and web of lies, obfuscations and distractions to attack the free press, science, our institutions, our government and the truth itself. This is Un-American.

Today its quite obvious that our “President” Trump, his associates, Administration, family and many Republican members of Congress are collaborating with the Russian Mafia to weaken our constitution, our institutions, our laws and our society.
The Russian rulers having been told from birth that “Capitalism is Theft,” have embraced that concept and turned their state into a murderous kleptocracy, owned and operated by a Putin-led mafia.
Russia is a third-grade power with the fifth grade economy capable of producing and exporting only oil, gas and murder. If they can't bring their society up they can only achieve the political, economic, or military predominance and control over others by bringing Western democracies down.
An Alliance has been formed linking American kleptocrats, the .01%, the inheritor class, the superrich, their bought representatives and their propaganda organs to weaken and destroy American democracy in favor of a world oligarchy.
Our Western Right Wing seeks to weaken American institutions and the Constitution in order to amass complete wealth and power. To the extent that they succeed, the people of all states are weakened and the wealthy oligarchy can assume complete dominance of the world.
HUAC destroyed peoples lives, people who wouldn’t rat out their friends. HUAC has a bad name.
Today we need a body to investigate the un-Americanism, not of communism, which has failed because it could not reform, but of ourselves. We need to investigate the House and Senate. Our Constitution provides that our leaders protect us from enemies foreign and domestic, including ourselves.
